SCA's Athletics Program
SCA's "total athletics" program develops not just the physical, but also the mental, emotional and spiritual strength that students need to excel on and off the field.

Training for godliness.
For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. 1 Tim 4:8
Extra-Curricular
Our extra-curricular athletic programs are offered for Grades 4-12 to encourage active lifestyles, fellowship and team building, as well as to develop their athletic skills. Our 595 Lagimodiere campus hosts many of the games and practices for all grades in one of it’s beautiful and spacious gyms, or outside on the large green space. The green space at this location has ample room, including a soccer field, beach volleyball pit, baseball diamond, outdoor hockey arena, and more. The 261 Youville campus is also equipped with a great practice gym and green space.
MINI SPORTS
Grades 4 through 6 enjoy soccer, cross-country, volleyball and basketball. Practices are twice a week with a tournament at the end of the season. Intramurals are offered during the lunch hour. Our Elementary Campus also hosts a running club for students that love to run or want to build on their athletic conditioning.

Grades 7 through 8 enjoy track and field, cross country, volleyball, basketball and badminton. The teams at the Junior High level compete in the Louis Riel School division and in some CSAA events. We have practice 2-3 times a week, games 1-2 times a week and 2-3 tournaments a season. Intramurals are offered during the lunch period.
SENIOR HIGH
Grades 9 through 12 enjoy cross-country, curling, golf, volleyball, basketball, track and field, badminton, indoor and outdoor soccer and beach volleyball. Teams compete in Zone 12 under MHSAA against other A/AA teams. We have 3-5 practices a week, 1 or 2 games a week and 3-5 tournaments a season. Intramurals are offered during the lunch period.

HEALTHY SCHOOLS
Every March at the Elementary Campus, the students celebrate “Healthy Schools”, with lots of activity and emphasis on being active and eating healthy foods! The month involves activity challenges and eating certain foods on themed days! For example, one day a week might be themed, “wear yellow, eat yellow”! The students LOVE these events, and our community’s amazing school spirit always shines through.

Work and train hard for your sport to not only win the prize, but to glorify God.
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating in the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.”
1 Corinthians 9:24-27
