SCA’s “total athletics” program develops not just the physical, but also the mental, emotional and spiritual strength students need to excel on and off the field.

Pledge of an Athlete
Respect all who are involved in the sport.
“Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like starts in the universe.”
Philippians 2:14-15
Demonstrate honorable character during games and practices.
“For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is a value in every way, as it hold promise for the present life and also for the life to come.”
1 Timothy 4:8
Be a team player.
“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves.”
Philippians 2:3
In all that you do, let God’s name be glorified.
“Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.”
Colossians 3:23-24
Work and train hard for your sport to not only win the prize, but to glorify God.
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating in the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.”
1 Corinthians 9:24-27
